How do I select emails to optimize?
In the Second Sender app under the "Select Email" tab, browse your HubSpot emails. You can filter by open rate, click-through rate, send count, and subject keywords. Click on any email to preview it and select it for optimization.
What happens when I optimize an email?
When you select an email for optimization, Second Sender creates variant versions of that email with different subject lines. These variants are then ready for A/B testing. You can review each variant and choose which ones to send to your contact lists.
What is a "Control" email?
A Control email is the baseline version of your original email—sent as-is without modifications. It serves as the reference point to compare against the optimized variant versions.
How are variants created?
Variants are created by cloning your original email with different subject lines. The system generates variants automatically based on optimization strategies configured by your administrator.
How long do I wait before declaring a "winner"?
By default, Second Sender recommends waiting 2-3 days before selecting a winner. This allows sufficient time for contacts to open and click on both the control and variant emails.
What happens after I select a winner?
Once you select a winner variant, you can send it to the remaining unsent contacts. The winner is marked in your HubSpot dashboard, and performance metrics continue to be tracked.
Can I see performance metrics for my emails?
Yes. The Results tab shows performance data for all optimized emails, including open rates, click-through rates, and delivery counts for both control and variant emails.
What do I do in the "Optimize Openers" tab?
The Optimize Openers tab lets you review email variants that have been created and view evaluation results. You can see the generated subject lines, preview each variant, and authorize them to be sent to your contact lists.
